The Patek Philippe 5125 is a special reference, introduced in 2003 specially to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Wempe, an important retailer of Patek Philippe based in Germany. It is an Annual Calendar, a complication invented by Patek Philippe in 1996. It was made in rose gold, yellow gold and white gold, all in white dial as a 125 piece limited edition and this one in platinum with black dial as a 100 piece limited edition.
The case measures at 37mm with just over 10mm thick in Platinum. It has long and slender lugs with crown guard similar to the reference 5110 World Time. It has a solid platinum case back engraved "125 Jahre Wempe - xxx/100 Patek Philippe" and an additional sapphire crystal display case back.
It has a black dial with a symmetrical layout featuring day and month window just under "Patek Philippe Geneve", date window and moon-phase and 24 hour indicator at 6 that is personalized by a subtly printed "WEMPE" signature. It stands out with the printed red-dot marker close to the edge of the dial.
The 5125 is powered by the Cal. 315 S QA LU - 35R self-winding annual calendar movement.
