The Reverso was born in 1931, designed to withstand polo matches of British Army officers in India, recognizable with its rectangular reversible case with art-deco aesthetic.
Between the year 1991-2000, to commemorate Reverso’s 60th anniversary, Jaeger Lecoultre introduced a series of 6 Limited Edition Rose Gold Reverso in “Grande Taille” or medium size with different complications.
The reference 270.2.55 Reverso Quantieme Perpetuel was the last of the series, it was introduced in the year 2000. It is very discreet, with only the day/night indicator at 1 and the leap year indicator just under the sub second at 6.
On the reverse side it has a retrograde date with a moon phase indicator taking the main stage, and the month and day indicator under it.
It is powered by the Cal. 855 with an impressive 276-components and it was built specifically for the Reverso case.
