Moritz Grossmann, one of the oldest name in German watchmaking in Glashutte, revived back in 2008. And ever since its revival they have created some impressive and beautifully crafted timepieces.
The Tremblage, first introduced in 2021, is a part of the Benu line, with a classic round case and a contemporary 41mm diameter and 11mm thickness in Stainless Steel.
The highlight of the Tremblage is obviously the dial. Tremblage comes from a French word Tremblant for shaking or trembling, is a traditional decorative technique that requires many years of training by highly experienced artisans. Crafted in German Silver, a master engraver uses a range of burins to create small and consistent incisions on the surface giving it a uniform texture.
The slender blued hands with a lance-shaped tip has become a signature of Moritz Grossman and is a feature that makes their watch recognizable from afar.
On the case at 4, it has a distinct puser that has a clever feature. When it is engaged, the crown reverts to winding than setting the time without having to push the crown back in.
Powered by the Cal. 100.1 that is classically designed like a vintage German pocket watch with a two-third bridge done in German Silver, oversized balance wheel that beats at 18000 vph, the large chaton with the unusually used white sapphire , as well as the large and hand engraved balance cock.
