Launched and marketed in a very unorthodox way back in 2017, the Speedmaster “Speedy Tuesday” Limited Edition celebrated half a decade of an online community #SppedyTuesday. It was made limited to 2012 pieces and it was sold exclusively online.

The design was strongly influenced by the 1978 Speedmaster Alaska III model that was limited to 56 pieces exclusively for NASA’s Space Shuttle program. The case has a brushed matte-finish including the bezel, pushers and crown.

The dial has white opaline-silvery sundials with large radial numerals and as a nod to vintage Omega pieces is the applied logo at 12. To add a modern touch to it, all markings and the sundials have been coated with bright luminescent material.

Powered by the classic calibre 1861 hand wound chronograph movement, which is virtually the same movement that powered the Speedmaster worn by NASA’s astronauts on the moon. The caseback is stamped with the iconic seahorse medallion, circled by the word “SPEEDY TUESDAY ANNIVERSARY - A TRIBUTE TO ALASKA PROJECT III” with the Limited Edition number.
