Celebrating the 175th anniversary in 2014, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5975 "Multi-Scale Chronograph". It comes in rose gold, yellow gold and white gold, made as 400 piece limited edition each and it also comes in platinum with black dial made as a 100 piece limited edition.
The dial is interesting as it does not have any traditional chronograph registers but it has three different scale, the first is Telemetre, which is used to calculate distance based on the difference between the speed of light and sound. The second is Pulsometer that is calibrated to 15 pulsation, it is used to calculate pulse in a very short time. And the last is the Tachymeter that is used for measuring speed over a known distance.
The 5975 measures at a contemporary classic 40mm diameter with beautifully sculpted multi-stepped lugs and this one is made of 18K White Gold.
On the back it has a solid case back engraved "Patek Philippe Geneve - 175 Anniversarire 1839-2014" as a commemorative of the 175th anniversary. Underneath the case back it has a reworked automatic Cal. 28-520 with vertical-clutch column wheel.
