The DB28 has been the flagship model of De Bethune since its release in 2010. In the following year it won Aiguille d'Or at the GPHG. There are some variations of the DB28, one of them is the Grand Sport, first introduced in 2015, made for a more active lifestyle with a 100m water resistant case.
Debuted in 2022, the DB28GS JPS is a 50 piece limited edition with a black and gold color scheme reminiscent of the John Player Special Lotus Formula 1 car.
The DB28GS JPS has De Bethune’s patented floating lugs for a more comfortable fit on the wrist. The case is made of black Zirconium and DLC treated hardened steel. The gold accents are in fact oxidized titanium.
The delta shaped plate and barrel bridge is decorated with De Bethune’s microlight engraving with mirror finished golden accents consistent to the case. The patented Titanium balance wheel secured by the mirror polished golden Titanium balance bridge can be seen at 6.
And just like the previous version of the DB28GS, it has a mechanically powered LED lights that can be activated with the push button at 6. It is based of the dynamo principle powered by a twin-barrel.
It is powered by the Cal. DB2080 that is consisting of no less than 400 parts with a long 5 days power reserve.
