Following the Legacy Machine 1 and Legacy Machine 2, MB&F introduced the Legacy Machine 101 in 2014 which is a simpler and smaller than the predecessor. However still highlighting its signature 3-dimensional “flying” balance wheel.
The LM101 has two small white dials displaying the time and power reserve, with a slightly domed surface and finished with a high gloss lacquer.
In 2021 MB&F introduced the updated version of the LM101 with three different case/dial combination. It has an updated case finish, cleaner dial without the “Legacy Machine” engraving and now features a Straumann double hairspring.
This version has an 18K White Gold case with a unique sun-ray brushed purple dial. The color can shift to a more reddish tone at different angle.
The movement is in-house, designed and exceptionally finished by Kari Voutilainen. The movement bridges have been modified with a contrasting NAC-coated dark treatment.
