Daniel Roth, a pioneer in the independent watchmaking scene, was one of if not the most talented watchmaker at his time, and he produced some of the most spectacular pieces between late 1980s to early 1990s.
The reference S247 was produced during the period of when The Hour Glass became a stockholder in the company. It is an automatic chronograph powered by the Zenith El Primer based Cal. 400. It is still one of if not the most important automatic chronograph movement ever made, and it was even used as the base movement of the first automatic Daytona.
The S247 has a more contemporary 38.5 x 41.5mm case in stainless steel. It is paired with a two-tone silver dial with vertical pinstripe guilloche with satin finished chapter ring and chronograph counters.
