In the year 2000, Panerai introduced the PAM64, a Submersible for the first time with a 1000m depth rating, a limited edition of 500 piece. It was given a nick name “La Bomba” due to the incredible durability and build as well as the extreme water resistance.
It measures at 44mm diameter with a thick 16.5mm case in stainless steel. It is 1000m water resistance with the patented crown guard that has become the signature design of Panerai watches as well as a Helium Escape Valve. It also features a unidirectional rotating bezel for timing dives.
The dial is matte black with contrasting silver sub second dial at 9 and date window at 3. The hour markers are stick shaped along with 12 and 6 numerals filled with tritium that has aged to a nice warm hue.
Powering the PAM64 is a workhorse Cal. OP III automatic movement based on the ETA 7750 calibre.
