Patek Philippe 5740/1G Nautilus Perpetual Calendar

$260,000.00

Sold under Gross Margin Scheme

Patek Philippe introduced the original Nautilus “Jumbo” reference 3700 in 1976, designed by the legendary Gerald Genta. The design was inspired by a ship’s porthole with “ears” on the sides. Together with the Royal Oak, they pioneered the genre for luxury steel sports watch. To commemorate the Nautilus’ 30th Anniversary, Patek Philippe introduced the 5712/1A and the 5980/1A that features multiple complication on the Nautilus.

And for the first time in 2018 Patek Philippe integrated a Grand Complication, a Perpetual Calendar in a Nautilus with the reference 5740/1G. It offers a blend of sportiness and technical sophistication.

It measures at 40mm across the dial with a slim 8.4mm profile, crafted in 18K White Gold. It is water resistant to 30m and it is the thinest perpetual calendar in the current line up.

The dial is a gradient blue with horizontal embossing and a classic 3 register perpetual calendar display rooting back to the 3940 that was first introduced in the mid 80s.

Powering the 5740/1G is the ultra-thin Cal. 240Q self-winding, with a 22K gold micro-rotor, that is only 3.88mm thick.
