Romain Gauthier, is an independent watch manufacture based in Vallée de Joux, founded in 2005 by Romain Gauthier. Known for making watches with beautiful movement architecture and highest level of finishing, as well as technically impressive timepieces such as the Logical One.
The C, or it was called the Continuum when it was first released in 2021 is Romain Gauthier’s iteration for a sports watch, designed for a more active lifestyle.
It has a 41mm Grade-5 Titanium case with a slim 9.5mm profile. It features a Grade-5 Titanium integrated bracelet. And as it is typically with Romain Gauthier’s timepieces the crown is placed at 2. It has a subtle contrasting satin and polished finish.
The dial is asymmetrical but still highly legible. It is sand-blasted grey in color with blue minute tracks and seconds dial star. The numerals and indexes are three-dimensional, made entirely of Super-LumiNova and it is paired with a Titanium dauphine hands.
The movement is where Romain Gauthier timepieces always shines, and it’s no exception on the C here. The architecture is distinct with bridges inspired by the finger bridges style, following the tradition of Vallée de Joux watchmaking. The outer edge is brushed and the insides are dimpled surface with a special hand engraving technique. It features a snail cam that works to stop the balance when the crown is pulled out.
