Richard Mille first introduced the RM011 in 2007, in collaboration with Felipe Massa, a decorated Formula 1 driver from Brazil. It’s taking cues from the high-tech precision engineering of Formula 1 racing cars. It has its iconic large tonneau shaped case with a flyback chronograph function as well as an annual calendar with big date. The RM011 is perhaps one of the most successful model in the Richard Mille line up and over the years there has been many variation of material and complication.

The RM11-03 was introduced in 2017 and produced up until 2022. Overall it is still very similar to the original RM011 however it has a whole new updated aesthetic. It measures large at 49mm x 44.5mm with 16mm thickness, and as it is with most RM watches they sits very comfortably on the wrist despite the large size.

The dial is entirely openworked giving us a glimpse of the mechanical parts of the watch. It still has the annual calendar function displayed by the big-date indicator at 12 and the month indicator at 4.30. And it has a classic three-register chronograph layout.

The RM11-03 is powered by the Cal. RMAC3 skeletonised automatic movement with flyback chronograph and annual calendar. It has grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges for optimal rigidity.
