To celebrate their 5th Anniversary, Ming introduced a very special piece with the reference 37.04 Monopusher from their Special Projects Cave. The Special Projects Cave is an experimental division that creates unique, limited edition watches and prototypes, generally only reserved for their close circle of collectors.
The example we have here is the more exclusive 25 pieces only Limited Edition 37.04 in Tantalum.
The case measures at 38mm in diameter with 12mm thickness in brushed finish Tantalum. It features a distinct crown with pusher at 3 in grade 5 Titanium. The sapphire crystal is domed with applied Super-LumiNova marking underneath it as its 10 minute marker with Ming Logo at 12 and the branding at 6.
The dial is purple color guilloche finish made by Comblemine with sapphire crystal top. It only has a single subdial at 3 displaying the chronograph’s minute counter. It has a both Tachymeter and Pulsation scale outlining the dial.
Powering the 37.04 is the Cal. LJP5000.M1 that’s originally designed by Francois-Paul Journe, Vianney Halter and Denis Flageollet for Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir in the late 1990s. It has been reworked by LaJoux Perret to Ming’s specification with skeletonized bridges and plates finished in gained 5N Rose Gold coating.
