In the world of horology, Cartier is known as the King of Shapes. They have made many of the most elegant time-only pieces the world has ever seen.
The Tank Cintrée (Curved Tank) was first inducted In 1921. The case is curved to follow the curvature of the wearer’s wrist for ergonomic reason, and during that time it was unusually large for a wristwatch.
In 2018 Cartier released the Tank Cintrée in three different configuration and with a much more contemporary look and feel compared to the predecessor. The Platinum is made as a 100 piece Limited Edition while the Rose Gold and Yellow Gold were made Limited Production.
The WGTA0025 is the rose gold version, it measures 46.5mm x 23mm with 7.2mm at the thickest point.
It is paired with a sunburst dark grey - black dial with strong Art Deco influenced dial with 12 and 6 printed on in white and the rest of the hour markers with stick markers. It is paired with a set of Rose Gold hands.
This Cintree is powered by the Cal. 8971MC, an oval manually wound movement that is based on the Jaeger LeCoultre Cal. 846 that is mostly used for the Reverso.
