Celebrating the Portugieser 75th Anniversary in 2015, IWC introduced the IWC Portugieser Hand Wound Eight Days 75th Anniversary edition. It is an homage to the original IWC Portugieser made in the early 1940s.
The Stainless Steel version is made as a 750 piece Limited Edition. And the case measures at 43mm in diameter and just over 12mm in thickness. It also has a domed sapphire crystal.
It has a black dial with a strong Art Deco styling. The numerals and the chapter ring are printed in white making it highly legible. It has the vintage IWC style signature on top and a large sub second counter at 6 with a useful date window.
Powering this watch is the Cal. 59215 8 Days Power Reserve Hand Wound movement with an appealing architecture and a power reserve indicator at the back.
