Sold under Gross Margin Scheme
The Zeitwerk is the first mechanical wristwatch showing the time with digital display with jumping hour and minutes. To power 1608 jumps in 24 hours, the movement is fitted with a very thick mainspring to produce and support enough torque needed for the jumps, and a remontoire that can deliver an equal torque every minute to create the disc jump.
In 2019, Lange introduced the Zeitwerk Date, an extended line of the Zeitwerk with a date ring outside of the dial. It indicates the current date by highlighting the number in red. It also has a quick set date with a pusher at 8 and quick set hour with a pusher at 4.
The case is large at 44.2mm however the thickness is the same with the original Zeitwerk at 12.3mm giving it an illusion of it being slimmer due to the larger case. It is made in 18K White Gold in polished finish and brushed case band and case back.
The dial is made of 925 silver in grey. It displays the hour and minute digitally at 9 and 3 respectively and it is flanked with the power reserve indicator and the running second indicator at 12 and 6.
Powering the Zeitwerk Date is the Cal. L043.8 manually wound, extremely complex with 516 parts. It now has a longer 72 hour power reserve compared to the original one that only has 36 hour. Another update is on its remontoire bridge, that is now laid out very elegantly in a straight line. All these and it is obviously hand finished beautifully as one could expect in any Lange watches.
