The Tonda PF was introduced in 2021 as an extension of the Tonda family with it being the more refined and elegant timepiece. Since the introduction, there has been a surge of popularity due to the elegant design and the extremely comfortable bracelet.
In 2022 Parmigiani announced a new variant of the Tonda PF and it features a clever complication. It is called the GMT Rattrapante. It is technically not a GMT as there’s no 24 hour hand or any day/night indicator, and it is not the Ratrrapante we usually have in mind.
The GMT Rattrapante measures at 40mm in diameter with just over 10mm thickness in Stainless Steel. It is paired with the integrated that hugs the wrist perfectly.
It has a Milano blue dial with the "Grain d'Orge hand-guilloché" finish. The hands are delta shaped. It has two hour hands, one in White Gold indicating the local time and another in Rose Gold indicating the home time.
So the GMT Rattrapante displays two timezone that can easily be adjusted with one hour increment via a pusher integrated into the lugs at 8. And when we no longer need to display two timezone, we can just easily push rose gold pusher on the crown that will instantly reset the local time back on top of the home time hand.
The Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante is powered by the Cal. PF051 Self-Winding movement with micro-rotor.
