A classic offering from Blancpain from the early 2000s made to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Geneva Watchmakers’ guild.
The Villeret Perpetual Calendar features a refined 38mm case with 10mm thickness in 18K Rose Gold. The case features a distinct double stepped bezel.
It has a silver opaline dial with applied Roman numerals and four registers displaying the month, day of the week, date and moon phase indicator. IT also has a small window displaying the leap year. Notably there’s an inscription on the dial "Dignus Est Intrare” or He is worthy to enter - a phrase that was traditionally spoken when an apprentice was accepted as a master watchmaker into the guild.
Powering the watch is the Cal. 5653 based on the Frederic Piguet 1150 self-winding movement with 100 hours power reserve.
