The Breguet Tradition was first introduced in 2005, paying tribute to Abraham Louis Breguet's "souscription" pocket watches in the 18th century. And ever since Breguet has created different variants of the Tradition.
The 7597, also known as the Tradition Quantieme Retrograde is one of the latest variant of Breguet's Tradition. It has a date complication with a twist. It has a retrograde date indicator spanning between 9 and 3 without obstructing the view of the movement. The setting is easy with a screw down button at 10.
This variant is the newly updated aesthetic with an attractive blue dial introduced in 2022. It gives it a more contemporary look and feel to the watch.
The case measures at a contemporary 40mm diameter with a thickness of just around 12mm. It has the distinct Breguet aesthetic such as the coin edge case band and the straight lugs.
The 7597 Tradition Quantieme Retrograde is powered by the Cal. 505Q self-winding movement with a mirror-polished axe-shaped rotor inspired from the earliest Breguet automatic pocket watches.
