Lion has been used as the symbol of Grand Seiko adorned at the back with the emblem on the case back. In the modern days it is also interpreted with a series called the Tokyo Lion with bold and angled case design and claw shaped lugs as well as the dial’s mane pattern.
The Spring Drive Chronograph GMT reference SBGC253 is large watch at 44.5mm in diameter and 16.8mm in height made of Grade 5 Titanium. It features a screw down crown and large pushers and it is water resistant up to 200m. It also has a sapphire crystal bezel insert.
The dial has lion’s mane texture in ivory-white color. It has a useful date window at 3 as well as two chronograph counter at 2 and 4; the small second and power reserve indicator.
It is powered by the Cal. 9R86 Spring Drive movement with column wheel chronograph.
