Introduced in 2020 as a trio of limited edition made to commemorate 175th anniversary of the occasion when Ferdinand Adolph Lange opened his first pocket watch atelier in Saxony. These editions are Calle the “Homage to F.A. Lange” edition. The other two models are the 1815 Thin and the Tourbograph Perpetual all made in Lange’s specially developed Honey Gold alloy.
The 1815 Rattrapante was a completely new model. It was made as an exclusive 100 piece Limited Edition.
The case measures at 41.2mm in diameter with 12.6mm in thickness crafted in Honey Gold a material that is substantially harder than conventional 18K gold alloy. It is impressively thin considering its complication.
The dial is crafted of solid silver that has been treated to a glossy black color with copper tone print to match its Honey Gold case. It is topped with red accents for its quarter markers inspired by vintage Lange pocket watch. It has two counters at 12 and 6 indicating the chronograph minute counter and running second respectively.
The 1815 Rattrapante is powered by the Cal. L101.2 and the fact that it doesn’t have as much depth as the movement on the Datograph gives the watch a slim profile. The finishing is impeccable as one can expect in any Lange watches and it is also distinct with the frosted bridges and it features floral engraving on the balance cock and the chronograph clutch bridge.
