Moritz Grossmann, one of the oldest name in German watchmaking in Glashutte, revived back in 2008. And ever since its revival they have created some impressive and beautifully crafted timepieces.
In 2019, Moritz Grossman ventured into the category of rectangular watches with this Art-Deco inspired Corner Stone model. It features a specially designed shaped movement to fit into this rectangular case.
It measures at 46.6mm in length, 29.5mm in width with just under 10mm in thickness made in Stainless Steel. It features a stepped case design with all polished finish.
This variant is a 5 piece Limited Edition made exclusively for Bahrain market with cream colored dial paired with printed Eastern Arabic numerals. It is paired with a set of Assegai shaped hands in blued steel.
The Corner Stone is powered by the rectangular shaped Cal. 102.3 Hand Wound movement. Beautifully hand-finished in untreated German Silver. As expected from Moritz Grossmann, the balance cock with Grossmann micrometre screw adjustment is exquisitely decorated and hand-engraved, along with the escape wheel cock. The rest of the movement, excluding the exposed gears, features a wide Glashütte stripe pattern, while the ratchet wheel is embellished with the 3-band snailing.
