Zenith is more well known for their high-beat El Primero Chronograph, however Zenith also has created many elegant dress watches and chronometers. In the 1950s Zenith created the Cal. 135 an ultra precise movement to compete in observatory competitions.
The Elite HW (Hand Wound) Chronometer was made in the 1990s and is rarer than the automatic movement counterpart. This variant measures at 36mm in diameter with a slim 8.5mm profile in 18K yellow gold.
It has a guilloche dial center with applied Breguet numerals, power reserve indicator between 12 to 3, running second indicator at 9 and date window between 4-5.
It is powered by the Cal. 655 Hand-Wound movement that has been COSC certified.
