The Retrograde Perpetual Calendar dates back from 1993 with the reference 5050. And in 2025 Patek Philippe introduced their latest one, the reference 6159G.
The 6159 is very distinct with translucent tinted sapphire dial giving us a peek at the calendar mechanism underneath the dial. It is highly similar to the reference 5316/50P-001 with minute repeater, perpetual calendar and tourbillon.
The case measures at 39.5mm in diameter with 11.45mm thickness in 18K White Gold. It has a hobnail bezel done traditionally on a guilloche engine.
The dial layout is consistent to the style first brought back by the reference 5050. It has the day, month and leap year indicator along its fan-shaped scale across the dial for its retrograde date. And it is completed with the moon phase indicator at 6.
Powering the 6159G is the Cal. 26-330 S QR from the base cal. 26-300 with perpetual calendar module on top. It is tidily finished and beautifully decorated.
