IWC 9240 Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar

$23,000.00

Sold under Gross Margin Scheme

The IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar reference 9240 was introduced in 1985, and it was the first ever IWC watch to feature Kurt Klaus’s infamous perpetual calendar movement - predating the more well known Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.

The Ingenieur itself date back to 1954, developed for engineers, very similar to Rolex Milgauss. In the mid 1970s, the Ingenieur SL was introduced, it was designed by none other than Gerald Genta with the theme of luxury sports watch just like the Royal Oak and Nautilus.

This reference 9240 measures at 38mm in diameter with just around 10mm thick profile in 18K yellow gold. It features the distinct round, screw-on bezel with 5 circular indentations and an integrated bracelet.

It has a clean white dial with four subdials at each quarter indicating the moonphase, date, month and day of the week. And at 7-8 o’clock it has the digital year indicator.

This watch is powered by the Cal. 3758 self-winding movement based on the ETA 2892-2 movement with Kurt Klaus’ perpetual calendar module.
