Andreas Strehler is a highly acclaimed independent watchmaker based in Sirnach, in the German speaking part of Switzerland. He is well known for his Papillon watch, with the distinct butterfly shaped bridges and mysterious hour and minute displays. His creation also won a Guiness World Record for the most precise Moon Phase display that will only require one adjustment every 2 million years.
In 2020, he came with an idea to create a watch that can be worn every day and in any occasion. Therefore in 2023 Strehler was conceived, and the Sirna was introduced as their first timepiece. It is named after the town of Sirnach where the manufacture is located.
The Sirna has a a traditional case that pays homage to his complex Cocon case shape with 40mm in diameter and 8.5mm thick profile in medical grade Stainless Steel. The lugs bend downwards making it friendly for smaller wrist size as well.
The dial, designed by Eric Giroud, is anodized Titanium to a vivid blue color with machined three-dimensional pattern and traditionally hand-finished. It its topped with a set of hand-polished leaf shaped hands.
Powering the Sirna is the in-house Ca. SA-30 with free-sprung balance and 60 hours power reserve. The architecture is distinct with its circular bridges. And the finish is refined, with hand-chamfered bevels, circular Geneva stripes, graining and circular-grained wheels.
