Angelus, founded in 1891 in Le Locle, Switzerland by the Stolz brothers. In the beginning to mid 20th century Angelus has produced many historic timepieces such the Chronodato, Datalarm and the Tinkler, world’s first automatic wristwatches featuring a repetition function. Their movements have also been used by Panerai for their military dive watches.
In 2011, Angelus was acquired by a renowned Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret and ever since they have created cutting edge pieces as well as historically inspired pieces reminiscent of the past.
Introduced in 2025, the Angelus Chronographe Télémètre is a vintage inspired timepiece paying tribute to vintage Angelus chronographs. It was made as limited editions, this version is exclusive with only 25 pieces made.
The case measures at 37mm in diameter with a slim 9mm profile in Stainless Steel. It has a single chronograph pusher placed at the crown to start, stop and reset the chronograph.
The dial is rose bronze colored and slightly domed. The applied indexes are black rhodium plated as well as the hands set. It features an outer minute track as well as a Telemetre scale on the outermost part of the dial.
It is powered by the Cal. A5000 Hand Wound monopusher chronograph movement from La Joux-Perret that was first developed by THA Ébauche, a collaborative manufacture of watch movements founded by some of the best-known names in independent watchmaking today, including François-Paul Journe, Denis Flageollet, and Vianney Halter. The movement features prominent Côtes de Genève finishing with two-tone colored bridges and parts.
