The Vacheron Constantin 47101, introduced in the early 1990s as part of the Les Historiques collection, a collection of watches that reinterpret and revive watch designs from the Vacheron Constantin archives with modern watchmaking standards. It is an interpretation of Vacheron Constantin’s iconic chronograph from the 1950s.
The case measures at a classic 37mm diameter and 11mm thick profile with a distinct tear-drop lugs in 18K yellow gold.
This piece has a rarer black guilloche dial with vertical wave-like pattern and contrasting gold print and applied indexes and hands.
Powering the watch is the Vacheron Constantin Cal. 1140, a calibre based on the highly coveted Lemania 2310 and it is still being used in the current Vacheron Constantin chronograph today.
