This A . Lange & Sohne 1815 Tourbillon was introduced in 2018 as a 100 piece Limited Edition. It is an extension to the 1815 family that focuses the design into a more traditional looking timepieces inspired by 19th century pocket watches.
This 1815 Tourbillon measures at a classic 39.5mm in diameter with 11.3mm thick profile in Platinum.
It features a white dial made of enameled copper with a distinct red 12 that was applied separately to the dial and a railroad style minute track. It is paired with a set of blued hands. Giving it a look of 19th century Marine Chronometer. There’s an opening at 6 o’clock showcasing the Tourbillon where the tourbillon bridge is mounted flush with the dial.
It is powered by the Cal. L102.1 Hand-Wound movement with 262 parts. It has the classic aesthetic of German watch with a three quarter plate in German silver finished with Glashutte Ribbing, perfectly polished 45 degrees bevels and hand-engraved balance cocks.
