The Blancpain Quantieme Complet (Complete Calendar) rooted back to the early 1980s when Blancpain under the helm of Jean-Claude Biver revived the brand and introduced it as their first complicated timepiece. It played an important role in the revival of mechanical watch during the quartz crisis.
This model was redesigned in 2020 with a 40mm case diameter and just under 11mm in thickness.
It is paired with a gorgeous blue dial with applied Roman numerals bordered with a circular date indicator pointed by a serpentine shaped hand. It has an easy to read day and month window just under 12 o’clock and a moon phase indicator just above 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the Cal. 6654 in-house Self-Winding movement with silicon balance spring for magnetic resistance and enhance chronometry. It features 4 lever underneath the lugs to adjust the calendar without compromising the beauty and sleekness of the case without any visible pushers.
