The complete calendar is a complication that has been produced by Vacheron Constantin for many years. It shows the date, month and day of the week with a moon phase indicator.
After the introduction of the refreshed Traditionale Complete Calendar in 2021, Vacheron Constantin quickly followed it up with a more striking Openface version. As the name suggests it has a see through sapphire crystal dial revealing the mechanism of the calendar.
It measures at a contemporary and sleek 41mm diameter with 11mm thick profile in 18K White Gold. It features a subtly stepped case design with stepped lugs.
Despite being an open face, the dial is actually highly legible due to the two tone finished dauphine hands. It has a sapphire crystal; part with slate grey decorated segment in the upper part with slate grey opaline flange. The day of the week and month are indicated with a sapphire crystal disc, and the date is indicated with a pointer pointing to the outside rim of the dial . It also features a realistic moon phase indicator at 6.
Powering the watch is the Cal. 2460 QCL/2 Self-Winding movement with a base that has been workhorse calibre for many Vacheron Constantin watches. It’s beating at 28800 vph with 40 hours power reserve.
