Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor Titanium

$0.00
sold out

Sold under Gross Margin Scheme

Romain Gauthier, is an independent watch manufacture based in Vallée de Joux, founded in 2005 by Romain Gauthier. Known for making watches with innovative in-house movement, beautiful movement architecture and highest level of hand finishing.

The Insight was introduced at Baselworld in 2017 and it was the third line-up in their collection at the time. It is the first they made with an automatic movement featuring a micro-rotor that is visible on the dial side.

The case measures at 39.5mm in diameter with just under 13mm thickness in Natural Titanium. The bezel and the case band are concave and the lugs are soldered to the case, indicating a more traditional process. The crown is placed at 2 for better ergonomics and easier time setting.

The dial is beautifully openworked and has a great sense of depth, highlighting the manufacture’s artistic craftsmanship. The Titanium version has a matte grey base plate and this example has special dial made of meteorite paired with a skeletonized hand set in black with matte finish. The balance wheel and the micro-rotor are prominently displayed at 6 and 9 respectively.

At the back, both barrels are visible and they provide the Insight an-80 hours power reserve. The movement is hand finished at the highest level , it is apparent on the rhodium plated frosted bridges and high polished bevels and countersinks. Romain Gauthier’s design element can also be seen from the floral motive spokes on the inside of the wheels and the S-shaped screw heads.
