The Pasha was conceived in the 1930s by Louis Cartier for The Pasha of Marrakesh as a one of a kind watch that has a crown protector device to ensure its water resistance. And in the 1980s with the help of Gerald Genta, Cartier introduced the Pasha publicly for the first time. It is a round watch with cabochon topped screw down cap attached to the case with a retaining chain and Vendome lugs.
This reference 2353 measures at 38mm in diameter 18K White Gold with a rotating bezel with 60 minute scale. The crown protector on this model is topped with a diamond.
The dial is guilloche finished with applied 12, 3, 6 and 9 featuring a square center with pave diamond. It has a useful date window at 4.30.
Powering this Pasha is the Cal. 191 Self-Winding movement decorated with Cartier’s intertwined C logo.
