Introduced in 1999, the Datograph was one of the first hand-wound chronograph movement developed in house post quartz crisis. It was a game changer and quickly became an icon in modern watchmaking. It was produced until 2012 and it was replaced by the Datograph Up/Down.
The Datograph Up/Down is an update to the original Datograph with a fresher aesthetic and improvements on the movement.
The watch measures 41mm in diameter and 13mm in thickness and this version has the stunning Rose Gold and Black Dial combination.
The big change on the dial is the use of all baton indexes instead of the alternating Roman Numerals and the addition of the power reserve indicator at 6, hence the name up/down.
The highlight of the Datograph has always been the movement with its incredible architecture and finish. The Datograph Up/Down is powered by the Cal. L951.6, one of the major update is with the new and thicker mainspring providing the watch with a 60 hour power reserve and with its free-sprung balance with their in-house balance wheel with overcoil providing a better performance compared to its predecessor.
