Credor, comes from the French word “Crete d’Or” that means “Pinnacle of Gold”, is Seiko’s most luxurious line, known to create high-end timepieces from precious metal and represent the finest of Japanese watchmaking.
The original Eichi was launched in 2008 featuring a highly finished hand wound Spring Drive movement with the revolutionary Torque Return System that extends the power reserve by utilizing the main spring energy more efficiently. It was produced at the Micro Artist Studio.
The Eichi II was first launched in 2014 in Platinum followed by this Rose Gold version in 2018. Notably the Eichi II has a larger case at 39mm with just around 10mm thick and it has a more simplistic looking dial by shifting the power reserve indicator to the back.
The Eichi II features a cold forged watch case making the material more dense and the highly renowned Zaratsu polishing is applied on the case.
The dial is a pure white porcelain inspired by the snowy landscape of the Shinshu region of Japan, and the indexes and the Credor logo are carefully hand painted by highly skilled artist. It is paired with a set of blue hands for greater legibility.
The Eichi II is powered by the hand wound Spring Drive Cal. 7R14 that despite the simplistic look is beautifully finished. The bridges are rhodium plated with highly polished beveled edges and countersinks.
