Panerai, a brand strongly associated to military watches, renowned for its oversized and distinctive case design and its luminous dials. In 2005 , 3 years after the opening of their new manufacture in Neuchatel, Panerai introduced their first in-house movement, the Cal. P2002 : a hand-wound calibre with GMT function and 8 days power reserve. Two years later in 2007, Panerai introduced the Cal. P.2005 their first tourbillon movement.
The tourbillon cage that house the balance wheel and the escapement rotate on an axis that is not parallel to the balance wheel axis but instead is perpendicular to it. It also completes one rotation in thirty seconds. The movement also features GMT function and a long 6 days power reserve.
The PAM306 has a Luminor 1950 style case in Titanium measuring 47mm in diameter with a thick 18mm profile due to its domed sapphire crystal. It has the signature crown guard to protect the winding crown and providing optimal water resistance. And just like other contemporary Panerai, it features an easy change strap system that allows the wearer to replace the strap easily with a pusher provided in the set.
The dial is tobacco colored giving a vintage look similar to aged vintage Panerai dial. It has a sandwich dial construction with a cutout of the numerals and indexes exposing its Super Luminova layer underneath. 
The subdial at 3 displays the 24 hour indicator for the hometime and the one at 9 displays the running second also the tourbillon rotation indicator that completes one turn in 30 seconds.
