During the Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Tokyo in 2023, Patek Philippe introduced a brand new World Time reference 5330 to commemorate the event.
It is an update to a complication that is strongly associated with the brand, the World Time. For the first time featuring a date indicator making it more useful.
The case is inspired by vintage Patek Philippe watch, also found on a recently released Calatrava 24 hour with slim, stepped lugs and rounded case band. It measures at 40mm in diameter and 11.5mm thick in 18K White Gold.
The dial is striking with purple/plum color that is also the color theme for the event. The center of the dial is decorated with a radiating guilloche pattern. The hour hand is skeletonised syringe style. And the date is indicated by a red pointer on a glass hand to make sure it does not obstruct the main dial. The word “Tokyo” on the City ring is printed in red and the number “12” on the 24 hour ring is replaced by a red dot representing the Rising Sun.
This reference 5330G-010 was made as a 300 piece Limited Edition for Japan market only.
It is powered by the Cal. 240 HU C Self-Winding movement with Micro-Rotor.
