Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin
Sold under Gross Margin Scheme
The story of Vacheron Constantin’s sports watch began in the 1977, the same decade Audemars Piguet introduced their Royal Oak and Patek Philippe introduced their Nautilus. It was designed by Jorg Hysek and it is called the 222, as it was created to celebrate Vacheron Constantin’s 222th anniversary.
In 1996, Vacheron Constantin introduced another sports watch in their line up, called the Overseas. A watch aimed for global travelers that demand a high quality casual yet elegant timepiece. The Overseas design is distinct especially with a bezel reminiscent of their Maltese cross logo.
The current generation Overseas is the third generation, and it was first introduced in 2016. Design wise it has cleaner lines and a 6 notch bezel as opposed to the 8 notches in the previous models, and integrated bracelet that reminiscent of the Maltese cross as well as a variety of complication integrated to the lineup.
For the second time the Overseas is fitted with Perpetual Calendar. While the second generation Overseas has a very sporty perpetual calendar chronograph model, the current Overseas Perpetual Calendar is a very elegant one.
First introduced in 2019, the Overseas Perpetual Calendar features an ultra-thin profile with 8mm thickness and contemporary 41.5mm wide case, this one in 18K Rose Gold.
It features the Maltese cross inspired integrated bracelet that can easily be switched to the additional rubber strap and leather strap provided.
It has a sunburst satin-finished lacquered blue dial with subdials displaying the perpetual calendar indicators with a classic four-register layout. The month and leap year at 12, date at 3, day at 9 and moon phase at 6.
This Overseas Perpetual Calendar is powered by the complicated Cal. 1120/3 QP/1 self-winding perpetual calendar movement. The movement itself is impressive with only 4mm thick.
