Introduced in 2001, the Octa Line is FP Journe’s earliest self-winding watch, powered by the Cal. 1300 that has an impressive 120 hour power reserve without compromising its precision.
The Octa Reserve de Marche design is quintessentially FP Journe. It has a subtly textured white gold dial, with a separate silver guilloche dial displaying the time. It has a power reserve indicator between 8 to 10 o clock and a big date window in between it and the main dial.
This piece has a desirable 38mm Platinum case that is no longer in production paired with the distinct FP Journe’s flat crown with a rope like pattern around it.
What makes this one more collectible is because this is an early series that still has the highly-sought after brass movement. The brass movement was produced until 2005 and subsequently FP Journe started producing the movement in 18K Rose Gold. It is estimated that around 2000 brass-movement have ever been produced across all the collection.
