During their early days in the early 2000s and before the craze for in-house movement, Panerai often features rare new old stock vintage movements in their special edition watches. Most of them in 42mm Radiomir case in precious metal.

Unusually the PAM163 has a 44mm Radiomir case in Stainless Steel paired with a good looking reverse panda dial, tachymeter scale on the rehaute and applied indexes.

It features a hand wound Valjoux 234 calibre. It is two-register column wheel chronograph with a quick-set date.
