The Reverso was born in 1931, designed to withstand polo matches of British Army officers in India, recognizable with its rectangular reversible case with art-deco aesthetic.
Between the year 1991-2000, to commemorate Reverso’s 60th anniversary, Jaeger Lecoultre introduced a series of 6 Limited Edition Rose Gold Reverso in “Grande Taille” or medium size with different complications.
Introduced in 1993, the Reveso Tourbillon was the second of the series, and as it is with the other pieces in the series it is extremely discreet looking like a simple-time only piece, keeping the Tourbillon hidden at the back. Despite its simplicity, the dial is very beautifully decorated with different pattern guilloche and a contrasting blued swords style hands.
The Cal. 828 Tourbillon crafted in gold can admired on the reverse side, with a cleverly placed and decorated power reserve indicator.
