The reference 3940, introduced in 1985 in the midst of the quartz crisis, was the reference that kickstarted the production of complicated timepieces by Patek Philippe. It is an iconic and important reference and it was produced between 1985-2007. The former CEO of Patek Philippe, Philippe Stern has been photographed in many occasions wearing the 3940.

This 3940 has a slim Calatrava style case with 36mm diameter with 8mm thickness in yellow gold. And it is a second series with an extremely rare and highly desirable d’ore dial. A dial that is commonly seen and associated with the first series Beyer signed 3940.

The 3940 is powered by the Cal. 240Q automatic movement with a 22K gold micro-rotor. This ultra-thin movement measures 3.75mm thick that is beautifully hand-finished.
