In 1904, Louis Cartier created a watch by the request of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont. He requested a watch for him to be able to tell the time while flying. It leads to the birth of one of the first wristwatch ever made and what becomes one of the most recognizable watch from Cartier.
The Cartier Santos Skeleton measures at 39.8mm wide with a slim 9mm profile in stainless steel. It features a the distinct polished bezel with exposed screws and an integrated steel bracelet with clever "QuickSwitch" system and "SmartLink" adjustment for easy bracelet/strap change and bracelet sizing.
The hour markers are formed by the skeletonised bridges in Roman numerals and covered in green lacquer. It showcases the Cal. 9611 MC hand wound underneath it with 72 hours power reserve.
