In 2015, Lange celebrated the 200th anniversary of the brand’s founder, F.A. Lange, and they commemorate it with two limited edition 1815, one was made in platinum with black dial and this one, with Lange’s special gold alloy, honey gold with granular finished silver dial.
The 1815 is one of the most traditional looking dial Lange in the line up, reminisce the look of a vintage pocket watch.
While honey gold, is a gold alloy exclusive to Lange watches, it looks like a cross between yellow and rose gold. It contains a small amount of silicon making it shinier and harder than other gold alloy.
This 1815 is powered by Cal. 051.1 hand-wound, in German silver and as typically features a three quarter plate with exquisite finishing.
