The Lange 1, with its distinctive off-center dial layout has become an icon from A. Lange & Sohne from the first time it was introduced in 1994. However during that time, it was considered large, as the average size for dress watch was 35mm. Therefore, the Little Lange 1 was conceived in 1998.
The current generation Little Lange 1 is measured at 36.8mm, larger than the original that was only 35mm. We have here a Little Lange 1 Moon Phase ref. 182.086 with the shimmering “Gold-Flux” dial, or commonly referred as the aventurine dial.
“Gold-Flux” dial has been featured in Saxonia Thin model as well. It is a man-made glass with metallic inclusions. During the process, the molten glass mixture was poured onto the solid silver dial base and left to cool to harden and fuse with the base. And other minor detail that adds to the charm is the use of alternating sized star shaped hour marker.
The 182.086 is powered by the Cal. L121.2 with 72 hours power reserve that has been finished to the usual high standard from A. Lange & Sohne.
