Perpetual Calendar Chronograph by Patek Philippe is arguably the most important complication of the 20th century. It dates all the way back to 1941 with the reference 1518 with a Valjoux based movement and with a dial layout mostly retained up to today.

The reference 5270 was first introduced in 2011, and for the first time it was powered by the in-house Cal. 29-535 PS. Generally most of the dial layout remain unchanged, with addition of day/night and leap year aperture just under the chronograph counters for easier readability.

In 2022, Patek Philippe introduced the 5270P-014 with a lacquered gradient green dial. It does not have any tachymeter scale and it has a more contemporary looking hands.

The 5270P is powered by the beautifully finished Cal. CH 29-535 PS Q Hand Wound Perpetual Calendar Chronograph movement that is fully designed and manufactured in-house.
