The Aquanaut is one of the youngest within Patek Philippe’s line up, it was introduced in 1997 as a sportier version of the Nautilus fitted with rubber strap to attract younger audience or audience with more active lifestyle.

The Travel Time complication was beautifully integrated to the Aquanaut line up in 2011 in Stainless Steel with its 5164A and subsequently in Rose Gold with this 5164R in 2016. The dial is very well balanced. It has a fourth hollowed hand that shows the home time, and it can easily be adjusted with two-pushers on the side of the case at 9. There’s a date counter at 6, and just under 3 and 9 is a tiny window as both home and local time’s day/night indicator.
