The Daytona Zenith was introduced in 1988 and as the name suggests it is powered by a modified Zenith El Primero automatic chronograph movement, labeled by Rolex as the Cal. 4030. This series was the beginning of the success story of Rolex Daytona.
This example of the reference 16518, which is in yellow gold on strap, is from early 1990s with white “Inverted Six” dial and diamond set indexes.
